  Last Month (June 08)

 July 08
Tomorrow is the second aniversary since I moved to uk2.net. The sites had plenty of hits and seems to be used, so I paid for another year.
I was at Cassington Bike day on Monday and I've downloaded well over 200 photos into my computer, but I'm not finished up loading the new pages for each models featured, and I have to put many through a photo suite, but I'll get it done as soon as possable. Check the link for a quick peek.
 Have fun

I've started putting this year Cassington pages & photo's together, so far you have:
Royal Enfield,  an early Sun, a Coventry Eagle, A standard Vincent Shadow (took some photo's of the one in a featherbed frame, not sure where they are), a Rudge Ulster, a Raleigh, an Ariel Arrow, a Douglas EW and I've found the photo's of the Sparkbrook too (as well as another early AJS). I've added dates and models where I can find them. Hope you enjoy them

More of the Cassington photo's are up and running now a page for one of the AJS, a Velocette, four BSA's; rocket, rocket3, Thunderbolt and one I don't have a model for yet, I went through my library trying to find out which, I have photo's that look similar to it, but the casings on the barrel ain't the same.

Like some bike owners have received a fine for forgetting to send off a sorn (the bikes broke down five years ago and I can't afford to get it home let alone fix it) basicly I was fined for having a bad memory, but it made me do some thinking, I have been told that they can crush your bike if your not taxed, even if you have it garaged or on your own (or someone elses private property as this bike is) premesis, and there is no excuse. Can Mr Rossi have his bike inpounded and the M1! crushed when he's racing in Britain??? Are they legaly entitled to crush every moto cross bike????
I phoned the DVLA on Friday afternoon to ask, but I got no reply (suppose it was poets day, & they had p**sed off early.) Can anyone afford the legal bill to take the government to court (I know no solicitor willing to take the police to court, I know as I tried when they knocked me off my bike and attacked me for something was found not guilty of, they were too worried of repercussion).
I checked their web site and it says "bikers there no excuses" I know if they said "niggers" there is no excuse they would have got into trouble, but it seems being a biker is means you are a legitamate target, and they think they can get away with it! They might own the numbers on the regestration plate, but they do not own the bike, there foere it's theft if the take your bike. It's different if you've been riding on the road with no tax, or parked it on a public road, I still don't the government bikes even though, but I suppose.
No what realy gets my goat is when I'm told  I'm being fined just becuase I forgot to send off a piece of red tape, and they threaten, by saying they can steal a bike on my property which has not been on the road for years. I have many moto cross riders who just took off the plates and only ride off road, I know they never sorned the bikes, so one or two of them a bit worried that the government can steal thear off roads too, Those go drag racing start with modified bikes, no sorn again, not to not to mention of us who have little pieces of have historic vehicles (I got two or three stashed), can you steal there bikes Mr government??? I'll ifght any man or woman who tries to steal my bikes, theif or government, think it's my right and duty as an Englishman (might not be ablt to do much 'cos of my spine etc, but I still won't back down)
If you'd told me that I had forgotten my sorn and I had to pay a adminastorial fee to keep that frame with that number plate, I could have seen your point, but you said I'd broke an unfair law and I'm being fined, mainly as I have a bad memory, well, you know me, I'll fight for whats mine, even the government when I think they are taking the Michael.
I think even as an admin fee, forty quid is a bit high, twent  should have been sufficient for having to send me a second letter, and yes I'll pay them as I do want to keep that number plate with that frame, you never one I might have enough cash to get a crashed damage Diversion 600 from a scrappie, and rebuild the wee beastie and maybe get some cash to pay some more bills. Untill then, The Kwaka will do me.

17 (& 18th)-07-08

I've updated Scotland, Wales and Northunbria with active links, I managed to find the time between spannering a Suzuki 500 Slingshot with a carb problem (needed new spark plus too). So all counties I've covered should have active links now.
I'm going to take a rest before going onto part two of the dealers and accesseries section, this entails findin new motorcycles business and a few I might have missed.
 Have fun

This goes out for ALL the brothers & sisters we have lost

I saw you,
hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But, you didn't see me,
put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you,
pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But, you didn't see me,
playing Santa at the local mall.

  I saw you,
change your mind about going into the restaurant.
>But, you didn't see me,
when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I saw you,
stare at my long hair.
But, you didn't see me,
and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you,
roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But, you didn't see me,
and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had
none.

I saw you,
look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me,
cry as my children were born and have their names written over and
in my
heart.

I saw you,
change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me,
going home to be with my family.

I saw you,
complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me,
when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.

I saw you,
yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me,
pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.

I saw you,
reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But, you didn't see me,
squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.

I saw you,
race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn't see me,
get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his
date.

I saw you,
run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me,
trying to turn right.

I saw you,
cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But, you didn't see me,
leave the road.

I saw you,
waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me.
I wasn't there.

I saw you,
go home to your family.
But, you didn't see me.
Because, I died that day you cut me off.

I was just a biker,.....
A person with friends and a family.
But, you didn't see me.
