 Maintenance - Engines
Bores & Barrels

This is just a general guide.
If you are about to do your own maintenance, using these pages, I take no responsibility if you get things wrong!

How to change a sleeve
1. Heat the oven and remove any rubbers from the block. 2. Place the block into the oven for about half an hour.
3. Place the block onto a workbench, making the sleeve you are about to remove is over the edge.
4. Place a block of wood over the bottom of the sleave and using a heavy hammer, knock the sleave out.
4.  Turn the block, and, again using the wooden block, hammer the sleeve into position. Note: Make sure you have replaced the lower rubber sleeves, if they have them.
Note: If you've got a single or a V, then it's easier to change the whole barrel, outer and sleeve.
