The Run/Stop swith is usualy found on the right hand side handle bar.
It's a safety switch, it's there so that if you have to shut your engine
quickly, it's faster to use this switch than taking you hands off the bars
and turn off the key.
To check this you'll need a continuity tester.
Just find the closest connection on the two wires leading from
the switch and undo the connections. Then place the two terminals of the
tester on the connection to the swicth (at the handlebars) then turn the
switch if it goes buzz or the light comes on then you know it's working.
These rarely go wrong.
If they don't get the connection either clean the connections
inside the switch casing and check it again.
If it doesn't you'll have to replace it. |
